Guys Give

Guys Give recognizes the generosity of men engaged in philanthropy and encourages more men to effect positive change within the community. We mentor and support the next generation of philanthropists.  Guys Give is about fostering and celebrating men’s giving and service within the community.

Membership Eligibility

Membership is extended to any UWCNM donor who:

  • Wishes to engage with like-minded philanthropic leaders on issues concerning our community
  • Contributes an annual combined household gift of $1,000 or more. A portion of that gift is given to the Guys Give Initiative Fund, which directly supports the work of United Way of Central New Mexico.

Guys Give is one of United Way of Central New Mexico’s newest and fastest growing Affinity Groups. Check out who serves on the Guys Give Council. We also have a convenient online form to nominate yourself or someone else for a council position.

What Does Guys Give Do?

Agency Visits – There are opportunities to visit nonprofit agencies, ask questions and gain greater understanding about the current challenges facing our community.

Networking and Social Events – Members meet on the second Wednesday of each month at various breweries for happy hour and camaraderie and each quarter they coordinate physical donations for a specific cause.

Volunteer Projects – Members have the opportunity to provide hands-on help by volunteering their time for various projects.

Guys Give News

Guys Give member, James Burt, was recently announced as one of Albuquerque Business First's 40 Under Forty. In an interview with Sandia Labs regarding the nomination, Burt discussed the impact of Guys Give.

We meet … to talk about philanthropy and come up with different ways to help the community. It’s fun because we are determining what we want to be about and what we want to do.
