The Hispano Philanthropic Society (HPS) is one of United Way of Central New Mexico’s newest and fastest growing Affinity Groups with a mission to identify and recognize local Hispanic leaders in philanthropy. The society is engaged in promoting Hispanics as advocates, volunteers, and contributors to help build stronger, healthier neighborhoods and communities.

HPS History

With the Herencia Founders' support and encouragement, the Hispano Philanthropic Society was formed. The Herencia Founders are a group of community leaders who have made a significant financial contribution to the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce. For years, they have emphasized broader community engagement beyond traditional chamber programs.

The Hispano Philanthropic Society recognizes and promotes Hispanic philanthropy, volunteerism and the building of vital neighborhoods within our community.

Check out the Hispano Philanthropic Society Council roster, and print out an overview to share with friends! We also have a convenient online form to nominate yourself or someone else for a council or committee position with HPS.
